What to do if something has happened

The order of actions. This page is not a claim form: the claim is received by the insurer.

My policy

If life is at risk or you need an ambulance — call 112

Georgia's single emergency number. It works around the clock across the country. Operators answer in Georgian, English and Russian. You can reach it from any phone — even a locked one, and one with no SIM card.

Call 112

This is the first action regardless of the insurer and regardless of whether you have the policy to hand. Medical help first, paperwork afterwards.

  1. 1. Contact the insurer's assistance line

The number is in your policy (PDF), on the first page. Assistance deals with the insurer directly: they will tell you where to go and record the case.

Contact assistance as early as you can — many insurers require notification before you attend a clinic; the exact rule is stated in your policy.

If you have the policy but cannot find the number, write to us and we will find it together.

  2. 2. Keep every document

Bills, receipts, prescriptions, referrals, discharge notes, test results. Reimbursement is decided on documents: what is not on paper is usually not considered. Do not throw away originals, even if you have photographed them.

  3. 3. Write to us — we will help you work it out

We will tell you what to send and where, and translate the correspondence if needed. We answer in Russian and English.

    Customer support: 24/7

ASSURA is not an insurance company

We sell and deliver a policy issued by a licensed Georgian insurer. The payout decision is theirs. We do not approve treatment, do not pay the clinic and do not influence the amount reimbursed. What we do is help you reach the people who decide, and keep you from getting lost in the correspondence.
